这本非常好的古埃及从最初到最后历朝历代法老的简介，图文并茂。包括法老的象形文字名称、英文名称、在位年代，一些重要法老发现的证物、经典墓室发掘现场的立体绘图、各阶段法老谱系关系等等。是喜欢古埃及必读的一本书。尤其王名对想要深入了解的人可以做很好的索引。国内很多专家写的书对古埃及各种社会层面虽然很好，但对王名的象形文字和英文名称这部分介绍的不全面，这样让非专业的爱好者想要自学找资料比较麻烦。
