With an introduction by Terry Jones (Monty Python's Flying Circus) Aleksandar Zograf, an artist and cartoonist based in Pancevo, 15 kilometres outside Belgrade, Serbia, has been documenting the conflict in Yugoslavia since it first came into being in the early nineties. The resulting comics and books -including Life Under Sanctions, Psychonaut, Alas and Dream Watcher -- have been critically acclaimed, translated into many languages, and have generated a following all over the world.Since NATO initiated air-strikes against Serbia in March, Aleksandar Zograf has broadcast almost daily bulletins across the Internet. These bulletins are both dark and humorous, containing reportage as well as personal vision. They are collected here, alongside Zograf's distinctive comic strips and illustrations. This book is an important document of human conflict and endurance, demonstrating all to clearly what it is to be trapped between the political and military ambitions of the World's regimes.
