Pick your favorite daughter

Bossypants
I read the book during one long flight; it was OK. I was looking for more funny stuff and the mechanism or process of how creative/comical writing happens. A lot of proper name references sounded a little bit obscure to me as a non-native speaker. And what's with a whole chapter on women reaching their 40s and taking their pants off when home?
