The culture industry: enlightenment as mass deception

当然我本人对于”Style"根本没有任何理解，但是对于这本书里对于当前culture industry里style的批判，引起了我的一些思考：
In the culture industry, the notion of genuine style is seen to be the aesthetic equivalent of domination. 
culture industry里所谓的style，只是另一种domination，是一种标准化，批量化可以套用的一种商品，但是作者确认为，真正伟大的艺术家的style，并不是完美无瑕的一种代表。
The great artists were never those who embodied a wholly flawless and perfect style, but those who used style as a way of hardening themselves against the chaotic expression of suffering, as a negative truth.
坦诚讲，目前我并不能够完全理解这种批判，但是即使是我这种程度，我理解的真正的艺术家，是那些有勇气坚持自己风格--从混乱无序的对世界苦难的表达中，破茧而出，推翻既有的对于真理的表达或者认知，我觉得从根本上来讲，这是一种反叛，一种勇气和一种坚持。
作者对于culture industry中对于style的阐释和表达，批判的十分残酷：
Style represents a promise in every work of art. That which is expressed is subsumed through style into the dominant forms of generality, into the language of music, painting, or words, in the hope that it will be reconciled thus with the idea of true generality. This promise held out by the work of art that it will create truth by lending new shape to the conventional social forms is as necessary as it is hypocritical. It unconditionally posits the real forms of life as it is by suggesting that fulfillment lies in their aesthetic derivatives. 
....In the culture industry this imitation finally becomes absolute. Having ceased to be anything but style, it reveals the latter's secret: obedience to the social hierarchy.
伟大的艺术家，或者艺术，其本质是一种反叛，是一种质疑，虽然这些艺术一经诞生也就成为了“建制”的一部分。
从作者的角度来看，当前文化工业的做法，“lend new shape to the conventional social forms"，是其存在的前提，但这也是虚伪的。文化工业中艺术的诞生，其希望是对于true generality 的一种和解，甚至是一种讨好。 但是，艺术如何能够真正的表达苦难？只有对抗传统的风格，才能做到真正表达苦难。
文化工业对之前伟大艺术诞生过程的提炼，其实质是对于现存权力秩序的一种服从，而不是一种反叛。
P.S:作者的批判真的是毫不留情，真正有文化的人，”骂“起人来让人毫无招架之力，这可能也是为什么会激发反智主义，毕竟人类对于不平等--哪怕是智力、智识上的不平等是很敏感的，如果无法也不想去理解和沟通，那不如就全盘去否定。但这种思维方式是非常危险和狭隘的，这会通过使人的思维变得偏狭和闭塞，而阻碍个人的进步。
