To distinguish a princedom, they are either hereditary or new. Hereditary is the system that the family of the prince will be passed on by generation and rules the state. The dominions so acquired are either accustomed to living under a prince or are used to being free. They are acquired either with the armies of others or with one’s own, either through fortune or through virtue.
