Managing internal communications1. Keep the information flowingThere are two basic methods of internal communication: The message: A good business message has three attributes:brevity, thoroughness and structure. -> It is brief, covering only the points the audience needs to know -> It is thorough, covering all the points the audience need to know -> It has a structure that conveys those points clearly to its audienceThe meeting: Meetings form the glue that holds your team together. The keys to a successful meeting: -> Make sure everyone attends by a regular S+ -> an agenda: keep the number of items to the minimum needed with important events, issues and problems -> a leader: cover your agenda as briskly as possible -> learning by walking around2. Always look over your shoulder: Maintain confidentiality and know when you can talk and when you can't. Be just a bit paranoid.
