What I've learned from this book so far: The process of fighting a hot virus: getting blood samples from the people who are infected; then study the sample in a lab and try to figure out what type the virus is by running test of antibody. If the disease is an untreated one. A new type of vaccine is needed. The scientists would try to isolate antibody first and mix it into the virus container. If the virus is neutralized, it means that the vaccine may work. The next step would be testing it on animals, and when they get very positive results on animals, they can go ahead and get FDA approval and make the vaccine into action on patients.
