Everyman vs. Uberman
On Everyman, I am tired significantly less often that I ever was while being monophasic. I sometimes feel energetic and “full of vim” in ways that I think I can attribute to my Everyman schedule, but it's a trickle compared to the feeling of being on Uberman. On Uberman I was never tired (after adaptation); for a while there I clean forgot what it was like to be tired. My energy-level was consistently higher than I remember it ever being before or since—some of which can probably be attributed to being 20 years old and surrounded by intellectual stimulation—but that I felt so energetic and never-tired for six straight months, I attribute to the sleeping-schedule. (I wasn't doing anything else during that time that would account for it, especially considering the fact that I was literally sleeping a total of two hours a day.) My partner-in-crime at the time reported basically the same experience that I did: We bounded out of bed at the end of the naps, ran smoothly in high gear for three hours thirty-five minutes, yawned once or twice and got drowsy immediately before naptime, fell asleep for the nap in less than a minute usually, slept like a rock and then jumped right back to it. Waking up from a nap on that schedule feels like waking up after a long, restful, unbroken night's sleep; in fact, the sensation of being so completely awake and rested after such a short time tends to really mess with people's heads at first. Because of how rested you are, to your “internal clock” it often feels like eight hours or more have passed.
