The Lambs simplified the tales from Shakespeare for young readers. The retelling is mostly faithful, yet it is inappropriate to see the retellers' moral judgment of the characters in these tales, which often reduces the complexity of Shakespeare's plays to simple fables or moral preaches. This edition is for students and beginners only.
