It took me such a long time to finish the book, Oracle Night.
Suddenly, it is the end of semester.
I let my stats final-exam upset me although I have grown old.
I let myself lie in the mess on my bed.
I let the book absorb me.
When I looked up at the ceiling, it's already 8pm.
I made myself some noodles, vegetables, left-over fried shrimps.
Without a clue what I was eating, I started to miss the book.
I went through the pages I have folded, being suprised that how different mood I have been in.
On the first page I folded, page 29, I found one of my weird experience of being lost described.
I guess imagination is at some degree the ability to be lost, anywhere, anytime, as long as you want to be.
On the second, page 35, I was moved by the story that a man lived his life again through some slides.
The third did not appear until 133 pages later. When it did, it is the paragraph about nation and its enemy, which itself is an oracle.
And that is the page when I collapsed into tears when I knew that Sid decided to lock his man in the room forever.
"We live in the present, but the future is insided us at every moment." Page 222.
When I approached the end, I was so cursious that how the author would make a way out.
Then Trause died. The baby died. Bad kid died. Blue note book died. Sid became happy again.
I read the dramas and had the feeling that the author just did not want to give us an answer.
