Discworld Tiffany系列的第二本。写给成人的童话---故事照样精彩，一本正经冷幽默，还有特里老爷子的人生哲理。 故事发生在第一本Tiffany从冰雪女王手里救出弟弟之后几年，11岁的小女孩离家历练，踏上注定成为女巫之路。这本里继续有蓝皮肤红头发好战口音重的让人不得不爱的噼啪菲戈人（脑海里一直想的是蓝精灵），有了更多关于女巫的描写，还有Tiffany内心深处对女巫这个身份的质疑，挣扎和理解，以及本书最大的'反派'蜂怪（永生，放大人们内心极度渴望但又需要抑制的欲望）求死之苦，另外，死神大大的客串给满分。 比较有意思的是，特里老爷子笔下的女巫们与魔法关系不大，或者说，不是一般意义上的耍弄魔法。'Witchcraft is mostly about doing quite ordinary things.' 他的笔下，女巫更多的是承担责任，帮助弱小和守护一方水土的普通人。女巫可以是草药师，助产士，也可以是老人的陪护，小孩的护理师，知识的传播者。这点不管在Tiffany或者读者看来都是不可思议的事情，毕竟学习不用魔法比学习使用魔法更难！Caring about people is the soul and center of witchcraft. （莫名想到了扶贫怎么回事？！） 另外，女巫经验之谈:穿三条毛裤骑飞行扫帚，不然会被冻僵。而如果边飞边吐，温馨提示要自备纸袋。喜欢这种淡淡的的幽默！ 一直都想安利身边的朋友读碟形世界这个系列，暂时还未成功。后来发现都很少有人了解这个系列（百度百科是个什么鬼，维基百科挂了之后，解释也不清楚）心累，自己慢慢读吧。 节选: “Learnin’ how not to do things is as hard as learning how to do them.
