Based on daily life stories,Russell Baker illustrates his growing experience, with moving stories and memories of family relations for decades in his life.

The love from his mother, the obstacles on the way to a great writer, Baker tells the vivid story,of upsets and also happiness, on his growing way.

No doubt this books deserves repeated reading and thought-provoking, as well as self-reflecting.

And above all, this is one of the greatest books recommended by my tutor, a vetern and professional journalist.

Whatsoever, this book was also awarded Pulitzer Prize.
