A few thoughts

Book Three and before is interesting and engaging, afterward it just spiraled down to some cliche romance story with no actual progress for many life times. And it fascinates me how a bright mind like Helena could not figure out that returning to the original time line to eliminate Slade could solve the problem once and for all. And there are also issues such as how many people will be affected when one travels back in time? What happens to the dead memories? Where does the matters go once a memory go dead? Did Reed really committed suicide or is that the effect of him returning to a dead memory?
