but this is the third book of his I read, and although the rhythm is still there and the little dark cloud over his head still touches me, but it's far less powerful a book than "Angela's Ashes". Interesting to read though. And I can't help but wonder, what was it like last week, when they celebrated the St Patrick's Day back in Ireland, or across the Pacific in the States. McCourt has made me an Irish lover all over again. I thought I'd overgrown this sentiment when I lost my passion for Oscar Wilde, but then, McCourt opened a new door. BTW, Teacher Man is good, especially if you are, or have been, a teacher, or a very self-conscious student.
