Underwhelmed
2025四月。补记。Feeling underwhelmed by this book, likely because of familiarity with Ezra Klein’s writing/podcast + having high expectations in anticipation of this publication. Some chapters are informative and offered some fresh perspectives for me (such as chapter on building/zoning/private funding), but unfortunately these moments are too few and far between. Maybe a better read for someone less exposed to the authors’ work, style of writing, and arguments. In general, I find the thesis of “abundance” in this book a bit forced. Some content/chapters seem very loosely connected to the concept of “abundance” at best, and the connection a bit stretched.
