说是机翻都是在侮辱翻译软件的程度
一开始觉得有几处怪怪的，但毕竟是译本也算正常就没有太在意，直到越来越频繁，心生傲气：我到要看看原文到底是怎么写的。就这样上半部分揪了不少，到后半就一整个放弃，这也归功于剧情越来越拖沓无聊也就不再精读。
首先是无可厚非的错译（低级错误）
- with a broad beaming smile full of milk teeth
（附加：这是对同埃文下棋的小女孩的描写）
（her）她咧开嘴绽放出耀眼的笑容，露出一口牛奶般的牙齿
（rather）她露出满是乳牙的灿烂笑容接受了，
- you have nothing to feel guilty for.
（her）你没有什么需要羞愧的。
（rather）你没有什么好内疚的。
- there has never been anything about him, about his personhood, which could make the big men uncomfortable, the seniors, judges, cabinet ministers.
（her）他身上，他的人格里从来没有任何一点让那些大人物不舒服，无论是高年级学生还是法官、内阁部长。
（rather）关于他本人，关于他为人品质，从来没有任何事情让高层官员、法官、内阁部长等权贵不舒服。
其次是蹩脚的翻译（偏主观）
- major regrets like declining or rather failing to say anything at his own father's funeral
（her）大的遗憾，如推辞或不能够在自己父亲的葬礼上说任何话
（rather）重大的遗憾，比如在父亲的葬礼上拒绝发言，或者说根本没能说任何话
- in the centre of the floor, a number of tables are arranged in a kind of squared U-shape,

（rather）在场地中央，
- what do you think, would you like to go out and celebrate?
（her）你怎么想呢。
（rather）你觉得怎么样。
- surrounded by these blustering middle-aged people
（her）他被围绕于这一群话音震耳的中年人之中
（rather）被这些盛气凌人的中年人包围着
- but how to know, how to interprete the watching, when he doesn't say anything to her or even seem to want to?
（her）但如何知道，如何解读这一注视，当他一言不发，甚至似乎无意于说什么时？
（rather）但是，当他没有对她说任何话，甚至似乎也不想说的时候，要如何知晓，又该如何解读这种注视呢？
