Tear the labels off

First, I want to say that compared to the movie, this book is really impressive. Movie based on this book is really terrible to me because the director have deleted a lot of plots which I think is vital for reader to understand what the author truly wanted to show us. For example, I like Scout so much after I finished this book. However, just watching the movie lets me think Scout is a normal girl. I failed to find anything charming in her personality because the director didn’t pay much attention on building Scout’s position. So it’s not strange at all why I felt sleepy when I watched this movie. Maybe the protagonist is handsome but this movie didn’t impress me at all.
Return to this book, I felt impressive not only because of its plot but also people’s characters.
It is a book about the racism and respect to strangers. I have never read a book of two plots before so I am interested in this book. In this book, this two plot are equally important and they conjected into one theme that is we should show fairness to everyone who breathes the same like us because people are born to be the same. At that time, people still have bias towards colored groups so it is normal for white people to protect the white people. In this book, Tom is absolutely a victim because all evident shows that he is so not guilty. If I hadn’t watched the before, I might think miracle would happen because it took the jury so much the time to decide. But the jury still decided Tom to be guilty. It is obvious the Ewells family was making up however it is also obvious that colored people cannot change the status. There are people in Maycomb who believe that Tom is not guilty but the majority of people still observe this case with bias. When I saw that Tom was shot when he was running away I felt sorry for him. The guards shot him when he was just climbing over the fence. How sad it is? Just when Tom thought he had the chance to be free again the guards shot him. While I think death is better for Tom for living a life without fairness is a torture.
Another plot is that people should not put labels on others before they know them. Boo Radley is always thought as a freak because he never comes out. Almost everyone thinks he is frightening. However, at last when he helped Jem and Scout, people come to realize he is actually a good person. The reason why some people regard him as a geek is that they don’t know him. So we should show respect and fairness to people we don’t know because we don’t have the ability to decide who they are.
Besides the plot, I also fancy about Scout. I really want to be the type of girl she is. She is so brave and cool. Girls needn’t to do girly staff because of their identities of female. We are free to do anything we want. We can play like the boys. Actually, I always want to be a boy because being a boy means I am free to do something girls are banned to do. However, I lack the guts. And sometimes I forget the desire to be a boy and I act just like a girl.
Bias is prevailing in every place. What we should as an individual is treating everyone around us without bias except some jerks.
