'The great Gatsby' by Fitzgerald, one of the best American novolists. You don't come across so often books that can touch your heart and make you think, and this is one of them.
Gatsby is indeed a great person for one thing: he has been faithful to his dream about a woman, ever since he was a poor boy when he had nothing to get her. He did everything unimaginable to win back that woman till the end of his life, only to find out it was just a dream. A sad story indeed, but it's not just about tragedy of love, it's also about the cruelty of human nature, which hasn't changed a bit since the book was written 100 years ago.
