August-A boy with facial difference struggles to make wonder
The book Wonder is about a boy named August, who born with Teacher Collins syndrome-a type of facial disorder. The born deficiency required this little kid to receive 27 plastic surgeries before the age ten to breathe, to see, to hear(but still needs hearing aids to hear clearly). And this prevented him from going to school until at ten years old, his family decided that it was time for him to go to school, despite of all challenges he might be facing. This is a book about growth, friendship, kindness and love. During August's growth, we see mock and insult, but what we see more is understanding smiles and kindness from the headmaster, the teachers, from Summer, Jack, Amos and all those supporting classmates. We see love and caring from family-Mom, Dad, Via, Daisy and Miranda(as she's just like the sister of August). This is really a warm book to read in this cold winter. And one thing very surprising is that I found myself giggling while reading the book, completely indulging in the story, which is very rare because I haven't got a ingtriguing book for a long time, maybe for years. Soooo I compleeeeeeetely recommend this book!!!!!...It's a real page turner:)
