A perfect psycho-thriller novel for Sidney Sheldon's fans! It's really a page turner that keeps you reading until last page.
The storyline is intriguing. It's about serial killer who has MPD (multiple personality disorder). As you can imagine, there are surprising twists, suspensions, dark secrets through the whole story. The book consists of three parts: 1st describes three attractive girls with totally various personalities, nationalities and talents. Pretty much the only thing they have in common is they all work in a computer company in California. They had different encounters and got involved in murder scenes.
2nd part describes how a young lawyer fought to defend Ashley in court. He was ready to sacrifice his promising partnership in law firm, his purchase new apartment plan for new born baby, his failure in spotlights in front of the whole country.....all for a moral obligation. I actually like this part best because Mr. Sheldon was telling the story from different perspective, not all about Ashley. Everyone has his own life and faces his own challenges. By telling the defense lawyer's story, Mr. Sheldon's established a multi-dimentional view of series killer case.
3rd part tells how MPD patient was cured in mental facilities. It's informative in introducing the planning and approaches experts utilized for Ashley's disorder. And the ending is really thrilling too.
I give five stars for this decent masterpiece! It's really worth reading!
