another page turner from Sidney Sheldon. I really enjoyed reading this novel, not only for compelling plots and suspenses, but for its legal system context. What is it like for fresh law school graduates working for a D.A? How young lawyers start their own business? How a typical criminal case is handled by defense lawyers? All these interest me.
Just like everyone else, there are ups and downs in Jennifer Parker's career path. She is a brilliant young lawyer and born with gifts. She could have been a star and shine in legal professionalism if her personal life wasn't such a mess.
Adam and Mike, angel and demon. They share something in common while in completely opposite direction. Their relationships with Jennifer impact her in different ways. Once she started seeing Mike, a lead Mafia, it's getting harder to continue reading. It saddened me seeing a promising young professional to degenerate to a notorious Mafia defense lawyer.
Once entering a dark jungle, there is no way out of it. But everyone believes he/she outsmarts others and that, always is the origin of tragedies.
