What is known about the brain-mind connection is beautifully told by Rita, a professional writer rather than a neuroscientist. Highly recommanded for people who needs a literacy in science for a better understanding of human nature. The infographics in the book are very well done and helpful. I hope Rita, who was born in 1949, still has the energy and enthusiasm to write a new edition incorporating the latest advancements in the field. The only thing that has hindered me from giving it a 5 star is the author's apparent exaggeration of neuroscience. The truth is that brain imaging is equal to modern phrenology (Uttal, 2001, Dobbs, 2005) rather than reveals the mind "much as X-rays reveal our bones" as Rita put it.
