The series East Asian Economic and Socio-cultural Studies presents research on the socio-economic, cultural, and political-diplomatic history of China and its neighbors, with a main focus on the history of multifaceted East Asian exchange relations and cross-cultural interaction between China and other East Asian countries as well as peoples and regions in (EUR-)Asia, the Indian and the Pacific Ocean (including adjacent regions).
In this context, the sub-series East Asian Maritime History focuses on the history of maritime interactions with the worlds beyond.
