My book "Wake Up Call" brings attention to the rise of youth violence, recognizing changes in attitude and behavior that affects youth mentally, physically, socially and educationally. It also addresses the needs of youth who lack positive role models who they can trust and confide in. Due to the number of predators in all our communities today our youths are being deceived and preyed upon as a result of many disguises they wear which means they can no longer be stereotyped. Parents, adults and those who care cannot remain in a state of "denial" that these creatures will not victimize their children; they must lower their risk by taking precautionary measures today by becoming proactive as a early prevention in educating our youths early as preschoolers, as opposed to becoming reactive tomorrow when it could be to late. This is helpful prevention to limit the many youths who could become a victim of abuse and violence. The reality is that they are in our communities and neighborhoods waiting to take advantage of our youths who are very vulnerable. These predators must be exposed by pulling them out of their closets (so to speak) for who or what they really are, forced to pay the consequences as a "Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde" who change personalities as a convenience to prey upon you.
