这部小说的每个主要任务都像荆棘鸟一般，明知不可为，偏要勉强。Ralph, Maggie, Fee, Paddy, Mary, Luke, Dane都是荆棘鸟，都是悲惨命运轮回的一部分。 大概除了Justine没有可以逃过。拉尔夫身份的分析，自然与梅吉，玛丽，戴恩这三者的关系最大，当然卢克，Vittorio主教也会涉及一点。矛盾的自我形成了矛盾的身份，当拉尔夫终于明白自己是个什么样的人之后，他也就选择了死亡。

之前买了的那本英文版不知道丢在哪里了，这次疫情让我把中文英文电视剧统统过了一遍。我想，时隔这么多年，我现在的理解和那时完全不同，小时候读荆棘鸟让我不相信爱情，现在Meggie让我对爱情失望、但Ralph让我更相信爱情可以具有韧性但又不那么重要，所以，相信与否又有什么区别
