Weird. I'm not sure why. Is Forster's writing style weird? Or is it that the India and Indians described in the book are weird? Or maybe it's just the India of the 1920s under British rule that is weird. There are all kinds of highly unexpected things: the delicate, subtle and intricate ideas and thoughts of the characters.

絮絮叨叨说一些神秘兮兮有的没的太过分了，60%都是废话，不如拎出来去写论文。好处在于在那个时代(1913开写，1924出版)关注到了这个问题，阶层和民族统治的事很值得一写。这个Moore太太及其子女简直人性之光
