非常有爱的一本儿童小说，Opal随父亲来到一个新地方，没有朋友，在超市以为遇上一条大狗，这个大狗又和她一起认识几个朋友，每个人都不完美，都有缺憾，Opal的缺憾就是妈妈不在身边，甚至对妈妈的了解只有爸爸说的10个特征，但不能改变她想念妈妈的感情，最后在大雨中找Winn-Dixie的过程，父女之间终于互相认识到对方，故事就结束了，妈妈还是没有回来，但Opal迎来了希望

来美国后完整读完的第一本书，因为很简单又薄，读完给自己很大信心，就算给自己的心理暗示了，忽略难度情况下我竟然能读完一整本英文书，哈哈哈
