萨义德在初到美国时,遇到一个捷克籍的美国人,读书读完一页便撕下一页,扔进湖中,萨义德对此说道“美式生活有其难以素解的一个层面,记得我事后寻思,认为其意义在于一种船过水无痕的人生态度,不要生活留下历史或回头的余地。” 全书这个情节我印象最深。

纯傻逼,写的蛮差的…像想到什么写点那个人物然后就到下一个了没有什么连接,看的我莫名其妙!呵呵浪费我时间的一本书

很遗憾以这种方式先了解了Said的人生……感觉断代史般的写作里重要的不仅是所包括的内容,还有未被纳入的、之后的人生。
