读书，读完一本爱一本，读到最后就像要跟好不容易熟悉起来的多年老友告别一样意犹未尽。诗一般的语言，Redwood一般的女人，甚至不觉得是苦大仇深的黑人文学。

太美了，以至于我听了一遍还不过瘾，又读了一遍；我觉得这本比更加有名的《Beloved》更好读，让我真正理解了toni morrison的美，没有读过toni morrison的人，用这本书入门可能更容易

虽然仅以“黑人”和“女性”的标签来解读莫奶奶的作品未免流于简单化了，但这部作品所传递出的声音的确负载了这两个标签的历史意义。幽灵般的主人公，淡到几乎没有的情节，优美如百灵歌唱的文字。沉痛，真的太沉重了，读至最后一页，尤其令人撕心裂肺。可以理解她后来为什么又写了《宠儿》这样的故事。

好些段落我来来回回读了好几遍，有些是因为震惊，有些是因为不解，有些是因为美。大段大段的文字Morrison写得是真好，就像借着世间万物就把所有的情感都表达了虚幻又现实。
