I was expecting more! The story is not scary at all, most of the characters are not that well developed, and the plot and twist is kinda weak as well. 14 years of bad marriage, still our Rose fell head over heal in a flash? The great cop husband suddenly went crazy? Let alone the magic painting. To name just a few. come on King, you could do better

当然我看的不是英文版但是豆瓣找不到中译本就这样吧；家庭暴力这一主题对于所有的女性读者的吸引力无须言说；对痛苦的描述以及后来的再次接触感受到欢乐的描述同样精彩无比；摔在门上衣钩中眼睛的姑娘波尔死得真是。。。这样突兀的貌似意外挂掉的死亡与可预期的被变态揍死相辅相成真是太震撼了；那个了不得的画的前段倒比后来全身显露更吸引人；那是石榴籽到底啥意思啊。。还有公牛啥的估计有神话背景的。。感觉很多地方米看懂野都没人出来释疑
