大三读的，感觉有点像《山河故人》。

不算她比较好的作品，前世今生写得很僵硬。而且kwan的设定很狗血，仿佛只是为了解开主人公一个不太重要的心结而存在的。

其实开始的有点混乱，总是分不清kwan故事里的人.......但是思维什么的还比较好理解。

看的过程中因为Kwan没完没了、荒诞不经的故事屡生倦意，没料到看完后细细密密的沦肌浃髓的酸意竟绵延了近一周才好。

其实是讲了一个中年版命中注定的故事，但是Amy tan真的很强，能添加各种讽刺和洞见。kwan让我想到了‘直美与加奈子’里面那个中国大妈。

老实说来，由于小说的故事性并不是那么强，所以前半部分的阅读都是强逼着自己读下去的，直到后半段Olivia与Simon回到中国时期所发生的关于真相、关于找寻的部分才真正吸引了我。但最后一章对我们逝去之人的态度的描写和全文中所透露出来的希望与爱的确是值得动容的，但是同样的母题应该可以用更好的故事和叙述来呈现，有些遗憾。
