Using his particular unconcerned tongue, Mr. Hemingway pictured battle scene, so never once during reading, I considered this book was about war. It is, however. In last chapter, everything collapsed so quickly in a horrible clam way. This is a book about fate and unchangeable, also useless, struggling every young man held in heart.
The protagnist is cynical, detached and insolent like the rest of them all, but this one is particularly unlikeble because as much as all the reviews say he's genuine, I find it hard to concede. Catherine = momentary comfort, no more.
