I must bring myself up. You are not the man to help me with that./I can no longer allow myself to be satisfied with what most people say and what's written in books./I must find who is right, society or me.
Nora
A realistic play that narrates a Norwegian couple's life in the late 19th century. Theme: gender equality and self-discovery. Required reading for English 3 Honors/AP Lang and for Works In Translation for IB English HL1.
A doll's house: "[I] must decline the honour consciously to have worked for the cause of women. I am not even quite clear what the cause of women really is. For me it has appeared to be the cause of human beings . . . My task has been to portray human beings." 关于An enemy of the people: 撕破民主的脸皮来给你看.

A Doll's House.
