The mere mention of it so bores people and they're so afraid you‘re going to talk about it, that you never have to explain yourself further." LOL
I like the story very much. The identity of the girl is a tat too much and the involvement of secret service might not be necessary. However I could never guessed the real murderers while the thing was already explained there. She had a sister! Artful writing!

2007.4.30 我忘了为什么会捡这么一本来听。印象中有人说10个闹钟是个不错的悬疑小说，显然这本小说里面闹钟没有10个，所以故事也就一般。老实说，我现在已经完全不记得书里面说了啥，只记得最后小特工终于找到了老婆。

后期作品. 叙事上也是比较特别的一点是 比较大量篇幅给了一个非小黑的角色 作第一方记录 推动主线情节. 到全书 90% 进程时 波洛也还身居幕后 直至突然驾到 一锤定音. 回到罪案设定上 算一个比较错综复杂的故事 有多条隐藏人物关系链. 但也如波洛所说 案件本身比较简单. 就是结尾收束时处理不太妙. 本书比较妙的地方是 阿婆借波洛之口 很少见地在书中道出了对不少推理小说名家的精彩品评. 加一星.

这不是阿婆和我大处女座的波洛老师，这特么是堂本老师的三囧三分侦探……把每个情节都有意义的波洛老师给我还回来啊喂！！！“这个东西的存在意义就是它没有意义”这种事就算是初出茅庐的作者的练笔之作，我都不确定我能不能原谅……嗯，东川也不行！ 整本书的感觉就是阿婆没钱吃饭了需要赶快赶一本东西出来交差，全国人民不在乎你些什么，全国人民只在乎封面上写着你的名字——这么一说谁来考据一下这是不是捉刀之作……（滚） PS：当然客观而论，开头还是不错的，我为“阿婆的书居然又有个正儿八经的案件开头了”兴奋了大概整整1/3的篇幅吧。 PPS：但是后2/3里唯一的兴奋点就只有“波洛老师纵论推理小说”啊摔！阿婆真的没考虑过用他老人家的名义去写本推理评论吗？一定能骗到更多钱的好不好！

希望不要让我失望 至少开头还是蛮好的。 — 其实故事情节还蛮好看的，但是开头的剧情太丰富了，最后却没有把这些完整的剧情和细节完善好，中间有很多废话的感觉，特别是poirot 谈那些侦探小说的故事都时候，感觉真的很唠叨，解决有点出乎意外，但是还蛮喜欢的。没有很好地get到为什么要让Sheila Webb出现在现场，也没有很好地解释为什么要有这些钟。总体还行吧

还不错吧，其实看到一半倒是猜出来杀手是谁，只是纳闷为什么有那么多互不关联的证据，结果...还真是不相关的！晕。书里面有趣的是对其他侦探小说家的评论，包括对柯南道尔和John Dickson Carr的点评。波洛在这本小书里化身为评论家了，还有心思去买侦探小说家的手稿😄

没想到的杀手。。有点突兀，前面交代的不多。。不过最后也说的通，解释得还是挺有逻辑的。。抓住已知的线索唯一的解释就是最终的答案。
