虽然是自传，虽然被很多人批评夸大的程度很惊人，这本书还是被很多研究爱尔兰裔美国人的历史学家引用。

貧困潦倒的父母就別再一窩一窩地繁衍後代了呀！孩子犯了什麼錯要度過如此苦難的童年。不如不出生的好。

同盖茨比。就像我小时候的奥数班一样：某项技能没有熟练到起码可以接受打击的程度时就不要过度使用。两部欧美文学经典就这么让我的半吊子英语给毁了。
