纯学术英文，看得头大。从诡异的拉丁文"Navis Stultifera"开始福柯就开始论述疯癫在这个文明社会中的作用。于是乎疯癫并不是一种纯医学上的现象，疯癫是迎合现代文明而出现的一种产物，带有主观的判断。所谓的疯癫，本质上是异类。社会通过一开始的隔离拘禁到现在的医学治疗，权力演变成更隐蔽的手段来定义，控制，同化所谓的异类。在福柯看来，真理的话语权永远在权力手中，疯癫不过是权力发展的需要。

Madness can be observed and interpreted from literary, artistic and psychoanalytic prospectives. 可能是Foucault比较难读的一本了，需要重读。
