This subject matter called to me until I felt obligated to equip myself with whatever little I could glean from this book, because if--knock on wood--every girl's nightmare ever became my own, even a little knowledge could make a big difference.As for the book itself:save for hero's tragic backstory(even shed a tear),I remained wholly underwhelmed.

第一次接触 New Adult 类型，主题相比YA更现实。比那种“硬碰硬” confrontational style，我更喜欢本书女主“润物细无声”的改变。然而本书最大减分点反而是 Romance。虽然作者加了不少细节以及惨绝人寰的背景故事，可Lucas作为男主真的完美得十分“无聊”。对，我可以接受角色性格失真甚至夸张，但“平淡如水”就很要命了。你还不如专心多写写谈言情以外的剧情（比如性qin受害者互助、如何走出伤痛），我看教授 Heller 谈话都比看男女主谈恋爱有意思啊啊啊

让人很有兴趣沉浸和吸引的情感拉扯，没有让人觉得沉闷无聊的地方，lucas的沉默和迂回地凝视实在是太迷人，他们之间的情感游戏也是最有趣的部分。
