Audiobook. 超级温柔。鲍德温用一个短篇小说的长度就描绘出一个黑人家庭的变迁。最惊艳的莫过于后段Sonny与“我”敞开心扉坦诚相待，兄弟情谊没有被两人之间的分歧斩断。Sonny的挣扎与对生活的思考已经不局限于黑人群体，他将音乐作为一种对抗世界的行为让人感动。无论外面的世界有多少豺狼虎豹，总有一个回响着爵士乐的小酒馆成为避风港。
