2014-08-10读毕，实证研究的典范，如何选择自变量、因变量（理论模型的作用），如何选择观察值（什么应该变，什么不应该变），如何控制研究偏倚。作者对于组织理论（威廉姆森）、赫希曼等著作都有引用，所用例子都是政治科学方面的。个人感觉张五常的《经济解释》四卷可以作为这本书思想在经济学领域应用的典范。

備考計量期末報告，臨時刷了臺版，兩天時間倉促看完。P192，將Charter 77翻譯成了：七十七憲章，不應該啊！另外，這本書還是讀Polyu時在香港買的，結果那時候沒有修過計量的課，讀得不是太懂，現在一學期計量經濟學的課學下來，已經能看懂七分了！
