• Careful observation, analysis, discovery of connections between seemingly unrelated factors.
• The quest for truth and a scientific way of thinking are more important than mere knowledge.
• Because theories may be continuously updated over time.
•Evolution, maximize reproduction.
•Age slowly, reproduce later.
This book is a bit like the book Yuval Harari's Homo Sapiens, which is written later. Overall I feel this book tries to discuss multiple topics, loosely related. Some part is more insightful than the others. I am certainly more interested in the first part, and I did not feel the last parts innovative. Maybe the author did this intentionally.
为何我们要学习过去?WAY TO GO!
此人涉及的学术领域实在广泛,这部主要focus anthropology和evolutionary biology,现在想起来算是a good antidote to philosophical discussion in metaethics... 看完之后就觉得 嗯 is robust ethical realism really an option...?
