I started reading this book when I had to write a lot. At work. About construction disputes I knew very little about. Sadly, this book is not useful for that kind of writing. This book covers a very narrow type of writing - academic writing for scholars, and it conveys a simple idea: make writing part of your schedule and start writing every day.
Remmend it as the first intro book on writing.Indeed, this book focus on how to write a lot, with refuting serveral special writing barriers, sharing motivatinal tools, suggesting on writing well, how to write journal papers and books, and summarize 4 principles of the system for becoming a productive writer.

昨晚利用两个多小时看完此书，对我颇具启发。以前我是个放纵的写作者，代价就是效率低下，充满自责和愧疚。此书告诉我，应该做规划，分配固定时间从事写作，不要使性子或期待什么灵感，而是把写作变成生活的一部分、固定节目，就像看电视剧一样。它并不神圣或伟大，这是生存的手段，所以必须按时按量的做好它。

很好读的一本小书，主要是怎样克服心理障碍好好写作，最重要的就是有个writing schedule，每天不管mentally rain or sunshine都要坚持写。写作很难，一直很难，写得越多收得拒信会越多，但我们还是得坚持写下去。

一本针对学术写作的小书，好读。读完强烈要做binge writing。我的确存在“i write best when i am inspired to write”的问题。顺提下，斯蒂芬金的on writing是我私人更喜欢的关于非学术写作的书。

对于一个患有轻微写作恐惧症和拖炎症的人来说，此书最有效果的建议就是每天留出两个小时别查邮件别读新闻别见活人关在屋子里黏在椅子上好好码字——咳，其实你早就知道。所以若不是其“吐槽有力，讽刺到位”，否则用一个commute的时间阅读此书都觉着不很值。

作为一个还是习惯临时抱佛脚而不是细水长流的人，我只能说，要做到在周一到周五期间有个固定的写作日程实在太难了！！！但我做不到不代表这就不是一本好书了，第五第六章还是很实用的~
