2001 Cambridge版。David Crystal最大的好处就是把一切生硬无趣的概念搞得令人惊喜万分，难得有那么一个作者我喜欢他的每一本学术书。

读的2001年版。20年过去了，里面的有些内容已经不再relevant，有些见解现在看也很犀利。推荐1-5章和第8章。
