An eleven-year-old boy’s violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City’s most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

终于赶在第四集更新之前看完了整本，比起成功吊人胃口的开头，结局真的很一般啊，略失望。期待的局外人的身世历史、被曝光的真相统统都没有，但是也给改编留足了空间，剧版拍好了延伸出第二季完全没问题。

看了那么多年金爷爷的书改编过来的电影，这是看的第一本他的畅销已久的小说。前半部分打4.5星，调查+多处悬疑很棒，原版感觉到故事叙述能力超棒。后面就有点漫不经心了，差不多都猜到，杀怪的那一天我就更不想提了。最后那句表白减100分
