“Work has pretty much given me PTSD.” same here
On the other hand, people often forget doctors are actual human beings. Your time in hospital may well hurt them a lot more than it hurts you.
Complex feelings underneath the funny text. Medicine is human
Hilarious and heartbreaking.
painfully funny, gave a personal perspective of NHS, of what’s it like to be dealing with death so closely on a daily basis. it’s great to know that the author now writes comedy for a living, he totally got what it takes.
Audiobook. 4.5 stars.
我今天正好off call，本来想着可以开开心心的读完，but this ends on too sad a note. 相比之下我半夜被page几次根本🧶都不算，no one will die if Amazon is down.
Hilarious and sobering. The anecdotes (most of them) are super funny, but what really got to me were the ones that aren’t funny. These sad ones really made me question my perception of doctors and their general welfare. I love how the book normalises the job, reminding us that in the end, medicine is just a job and doctors are just humans. #1918
A doctor from NHS of Britain told stories about patients.
