兰迪•希尔茨(Randy Shilts,1951—1994),1980年代初第一批意识到艾滋病问题的美国记者之一。

一部只跨了5年的史诗,非常震撼的纪实文学。不同角度刻画了AIDS抬头时期社会的方方面面。扑面而来的窒息,每读到政治的时候都昏昏欲睡,但是确实左右epidemic走向和患者生死的重要主舵。

Quite a brick. Offers interesting perspective on the onset of the epidemic. Lays blame rather liberally, the plethora of characters is hard to keep up with
