段祺瑞的血亲，一副生来被安放在中心的目光，却偏爱离心力，于纷驰杂流间离开近代中国那片执拗的田地。于是终于产生了，在那些关于奋斗与苦难的陈词之外另一种稀有而又幽深的激情。诚然，即使有所有那些用学院派的幽默所陈述的关于自己bourgeois身份的自嘲，中间的一部分书写仍不免显得乏力，但他对自身局限的体认足够深刻。对比康德当年的地理学讲录，这般暧昧的深沉，已经是不同的东西了。

令人潸然泪下的传记写作。没有想到同我年龄相差七十岁的老先生，竟会与我产生如此大的生命共鸣！文笔翩然不拖沓，随着行文用情至深至浓令人极为动容。段先生阅读生活也极为广阔，俯仰之间皆是名篇大家经典之作。（ps.好想成为他的友人，能够陪他去医院或是过个生日；读着读着又好像在读我自己的人生了。）
