2. Question to the question.
3. Dare to be silly.
4. Simplify, simplify.
To look at things from a slightly different angle, and in so doing to reveal the obvious, things that had been right under our noses all the time.
We need education in the obvious more than investigation of the obscure.
Good to cover a lot of krugman’s views. The articles are well written individually, but it’s just a collection of articles, often repetitive. Unfortunately, the book doesn’t offer a systematic view on a subject.
(NYT is indeed liberal...) Just the time to revisit Part 4 - Bubble and Bust, Part 5 - Crisis Management, Part 7 - Austerity, Part 8 - The Euro, and Part 11 - Trade Wars.

policy column文笔没的说。重温了已经忘光的macro。看十几年前social security 和ACA的时事讨论，2020大选还是一样的套路。不知道算是喜还是悲。最喜欢的是how i do research那一篇，还有ACA和Climate Change的讨论。

作者在纽约时报的评论合集。阅读体验是，虽然看这种文章已经很久了，但都是跟着媒体发表即时零散阅读的。这种连贯系统性地读完一个作者十多年将近二十年的文章还是很有助于梳理思路建立体系的。

克鲁格曼一直在鼓吹某种左派经济学，盛赞佩洛西，不遗余力地鞭笞小布什以来的保守主义。神奇的是，我竟然很大程度上被他说服了。克鲁格曼非常爱用的一个词是bothsideism，即媒体假装不偏不倚地引用a说b说c说。更早年的时候，可能我会视这种立场为激进，自满于自己的中立。现在则不然，如他所说，现在有更多的完全没有goodfaith的僵尸。
