不知道这套书是不是introduction性质的,即便如此fantasy studies真的这么浅薄么?不敢相信。文本量不少,但几乎都是描述性而非研究性的。没有什么亮眼的新观点,失望...

可能是对New critical idiom这套书的期望太高,看完失望也比较大。并没有达到综述前人理论并提出新理论方向的高度,只在理论章泛泛举了下Todorov,Jackson, Hume等人,对fantasy的定义还是沿用Todorov的marvellous,但是为什么这个定义好呢?没有明说。后面章节的具体文本细读感觉缺乏主线,很多只是罗列了一下情节。
