Merlin Sheldrake is a biologist and a writer. He received a Ph.D. in tropical ecology from the University of Cambridge for his work on underground fungal networks in tropical forests in Panama, where he was a predoctoral research fellow of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. He is a musician and keen fermenter. Entangled Life is his first book.
好多年以前看《豆芽小文》和《神灵狩》,对菌类崇拜思想产生了兴趣,这本书算是真正意义上菌类生活入门。Symbiosis真的是一个纵横无尽的世界,所有生命all in this together for co-evolution。可能所有学科里只有搞生物学的才会这么“没有节操”,让生命的定义被无限放大,以至于生命的定义和生命体的边界都模糊不清。说起来前段时间还在看Andy Clarke的Natural...好多年以前看《豆芽小文》和《神灵狩》,对菌类崇拜思想产生了兴趣,这本书算是真正意义上菌类生活入门。Symbiosis真的是一个纵横无尽的世界,所有生命all in this together for co-evolution。可能所有学科里只有搞生物学的才会这么“没有节操”,让生命的定义被无限放大,以至于生命的定义和生命体的边界都模糊不清。说起来前段时间还在看Andy Clarke的Natural-Born Cyborgs ,觉得过于科幻,但说不定人类文明本身就是一个巨型生物科幻了。(展开)

大多数还是都是生物学还有些LSD相关,意料之中…原来确实在期待一些人类哲学,毕竟菌类比较地球生物老祖宗,作者偶尔字里行间也确实能体会到人类behavior很多都biologically & philosophically按照fungi的运作方式存在,然而确实基本都是生物小知识。第二章讲植物大脑和智慧个人觉得是全本最精彩,整体还挺不错的挺轻松愉快的,一种coffee table式科普读物吧,最后几章... 大多数还是都是生物学还有些LSD相关,意料之中…原来确实在期待一些人类哲学,毕竟菌类比较地球生物老祖宗,作者偶尔字里行间也确实能体会到人类behavior很多都biologically & philosophically按照fungi的运作方式存在,然而确实基本都是生物小知识。第二章讲植物大脑和智慧个人觉得是全本最精彩,整体还挺不错的挺轻松愉快的,一种coffee table式科普读物吧,最后几章尤其像生物学家随手笔记了。 (展开)

叙事方式不符合我的阅读习惯。一个科研项目的解释被其他科研和故事穿插,插叙部分过于松散细长,以至于我都记不得最重要的科研项目和成果。
