I study the Twitter feeds of Athena and her mutuals to see which community figures I should follow, which conversations I should be a part of. I retweet hot takes about bubble tea, MSG, BTS, and some drama series called The Untamed. I learn it's important to be anti-xxx(that's the xxx) but pro-xxx(I'm not terribly sure how that's different). I learn what “xxx” and “xxx” are and make sure I don’t inadvertently retweet support for either. I decry what’s happening in xxx. I Stand with xxx. I start gaining dozens more followers a day once I’ve started vocalizing on these matters, and when I notice that many of my followers are people of color or have things like #BLM and #FreePalestine in their bios, I know I’m on the right track. Do you know what it’s like to pitch a book and be told they already have an Asian writer? That they can’t put out two minority stories in the same season? That Athena Liu already exists, so you’re redundant? This industry is built on silencing us, stomping us into the ground, and hurling money at white people to produce racist stereotypes of us.
It's a real page-turner.

This book is a page turner for sure. rfk is capable of crafting words, sentences and the overall pace is tightened enough for me to hold through the dragging chapter 18-20. Closing the book with some confusion though, the climax is relatively flat, the pl...
